SP MLA circulating counterfeit currency: BJP
Varanasi, Apr 13 (UNI) Accusing a sitting ruling Samajwadi Party MLA for circulating counterfeit currency in Gyanpur assembly segment of the neighbouring Bhadohi district, BJP today demanded Election Commission to take stock of the matter.
''Sitting SP MLA Vijay Mishra is circulating the counterfeit currency and sarees to influence voters in Gyanpur segment going to poll on May 3,'' UP BJP executive member and former MP Virendra Singh said.
Mr Singh further alleged the SP MLA has created an atmosphere of terror in Gyanpur and he, along with supporters, is moving freely with weapons. ''Even Bhadohi police chief and DM are working under his pressure.'' ''We demand the EC to take note of the matter by visiting the constituency for ensuring free and fair poll,'' Mr Singh demanded.
Mr Singh said the party is going to lodge a formal complaint with the EC in this regard shortly. ''If EC fails to act, we will launch an agitation.'' UNI ARS ATI VS AKJ RAI1850
