TN: Bomb threat; Security tightened at police station
Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, Apr 12: Security has been tightened at Sivakanchi Police station in this district following the receipt of two anonymous letters threatening a bomb attack at the station soon.
Police today said the station received two letters, bearing same handwriting, on April 11 and April 12, stating that the station would be attacked with bombs in the next few days.
Police said in the letter it was mentioned that a new Islam protection movement was formed in the country to safeguard the interest of the Islam believers.
The letters were later handed over to District Police Superintendent A Amalraj.
