Rs four cr sanctioned for Baba Saheb's monument

Bhopal, Apr 13 (UNI) The birth anniversary of ''Father of Indian Constitution'' Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar will be celebrated at his birthplace MHOW in Indore tomorrow.

Several programmes, including a seminar focussing on Dr Ambedkar's contribution to national unity and social equality, had been organised on the occasion.

Buddhist spiritual leader 17th Karmapa Trinley Thaye will inaugurate the seminar.

RSS chief K S Sudarshan will be the chief guest, while Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will preside over the programme.

A grand monument of Baba Saheb is being built in MHOW and Rs four crore had been sanctioned for the purpose.

Karmapa Trinley Thaye, Mr Sudarshan and Mr Chouhan will visit Dr Ambedkar's birthplace in MHOW and pay tributes to him.

Followers of Baba Saheb from Maharashtra have started to trickle in from Wednesday.

A large number of Baba Saheb's followers pay tributes to him on his birth anniversary at his birthplace MHOW.

Directions have been issued to the district administration to make housing, food and clean drinking water arrangements in view of large number of followers arriving MHOW during his birthplace.

Sanitation arrangements had been made on the lines of 'Sinhastha'. For the first time, such arrangements had been made for Dr Ambedkar's birth anniversary at government level.

PWD Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya had been appointed as incharge for making necessary arrangements for the programme.
