NSCN-IM cadre killed in factional clash

Kohima, Apr 13 (UNI) One NSCN-IM cadre was killed following an attack by the rival group NSCN(K).

Both the groups clashed yesterday in Bungsang village, about 15 kms away from Medziphema town, in Dimapur district.

Official sources said here today that the clash started at around 0700 hours and continued till 1000 hours. It stopped only after the Dimapur District Administration and Asom Rifles intervened.

While the NSCN-IM sources confirmed the death of their cadre, the NSCN (K) claimed that two cadres of their rival group had also been seriously injured.
