NE editor Seaton dead

Kohima, Apr 13 (UNI) North East Herald editor Seaton Ruddock died here yesterday at a private nursing home at Dimapur after a prolonged illness.He was 64.

He is survived by two sons and as many daughters. His wife had predeceased him last year.

Seaton, started his career as a teacher in St. Paul's School, Zunheboto, and later taught in Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur. He was also the General Secretary of Dimapur District Congress Committee.

He joined journalism as the Editor of Nagaland Observer in 1993 and worked there till 1998. He later became the Editor of the North East Herald and served it till his death.

Meanwhile, the Dimapur Press Club, Kohima Press Club, Leader of Opposition I. Imkong and several other organizations condoled the death of Seaton, conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
