Nagaland: NSCN-IM cadre killed in factional clash

Kohima Apr 13: One NSCN-IM cadre was killed following an attack by the rival group NSCN(K).

Both the groups clashed in the Bungsang village, about 15 kms away from Medziphema town, in Dimapur district yesterday.

Official sources said here today that the clash started at around 0700 hours and continued till 1000 hours. The clash stopped only after interference by the Dimapur District Administration and Asom Rifles.

While the NSCN-IM sources confirmed the death of their cadre, the NSCN (K) claimed that two cadres of their rival group had also been seriously injured.
