Bihar: Murderer lynched by villagers

Hajipur, Apr 13: An irate mob today thrased till death a man, who he was trying to escape after shooting at a businessman near Chakochan Chowk under Bidupur police station in Vaishali district.

Hajipur Sub-Divisional Officer Anil Kumar said three persons shot at a coal merchant, Sanjay Mahto, at Hajipur-Mahnar road and tried to escape.

The noise of firing alerted local pople and they caught hold two of the miscreants while a third managed to fled.

Mr Kumar said the angry villagers lynched both the miscreants, while succumbed to his injuries at the spot the other had been admitted to a nearby hospital under critical condition.
