Mizo police seize a local-made pistol

Aizawl, Apr 13: Kawnpui police under Mizoram's Kolasib district have arrested a person and seized a local-made 9 mm pistol from him yesterday.

Police said here today that the person identified as Lalnundanga along with a few others was following a truck, on its way to Silchar, in a taxi.

Fearing danger the occupants in the truck reported to the Kawnpui police, who immediately hunted for the taxi and apprehended all the occupants.

Police said the arrested person hailed from Manipur.

Police also recovered three cartridges along with pistol.
