MCD Inspector jailed for taking bribe

New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) A city court today ordered a municipal employee to three-and-half year jail for taking bribe to change name in title deed of a house.

Special CBI Judge Sunil Gaur also imposed a fine of Rs 16,000 on Municipal Corporation of Delhi Zonal Inspector (House Tax) N R Vig for demanding a bribe of Rs 1,500 from complainant Girija Kishore, who wanted his name added in title deed of the house he had bought.

Vig was caught red-handed accepting Rs 800 as an 'advance' in August 1996.
