MAAC launches training centre in AP

Visakhapatnam, Apr 13 (UNI) The Mumbai-based Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) launched its first training centre here today.

Speaking to newsmen, MAAC General Manager (Corporate Communication) Kingshuk Gupta said the Centre was equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities with well-equipped laboratories and production-oriented learning environment of global standards.

Mr Gupta said "there has been a convergence of IT, communication and entertainment in the industry. This has led to an increased application of computer graphics and animation for various modes of communication and for the need of converting animation into an industry." MAAC General Manager (Operations) Aruna Kumar said Andhra Pradesh's vibrant business environment, IT infrastructure and large creative talent pool made it an ideal location for animation industry.

The animation training centre would train and equip talents in the city and prapare them for global careers in animation industry.

It proposed to launch nine more centres this year including at Kathamandu and Dubai. It's strongly networked placement division helped its students secure credible employment in various animation studios and allied sectors, she claimed.

MAAC is one of India's leading animation and visual effects institutes offering various courses in computer graphhics, animation and special effects.
