LNJP strike: Doctors demand written assurance from govt
New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) Doctors at the Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash Hospital, who called for a strike after relatives of a patient allegedly assaulted some doctors on Tuesday night, assert they will not withdraw their agitation unless the government gives them a written assurance.
"Similar situations arose twice in past. Strikes were withdrawn following unambiguous assurances by the Delhi Government. Every thing remained same ever after. The Government has lost our trust.
So, we will not accept anything but a resolution in writing,'' Dr Vivek Gautam, an executive member of the RDA, told UNI.
However, the government has taken some action with Medical Superintendent VS Rameteke being replaced with MAMC's dean AK Aggrawal who has already begun to work for providing the doctors with security. He has written to the DG (Resettlement) to approve of the proposal replacing the existing security arrangements.
