JMM activists gheraoed DC office

Jamshedpur, Apr 13 (UNI) Hundreds of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) activists wearing black badges today gheraoed the office of the East Singhbhum deputy commissioner here demanding immediate arrest of JMM MP Sunil Mahto's killers.

JMM vice-president Babbar Khan, general secretary Bidyut Mahto, and East Singhbhum's unit president Roria Soren were among others who led the demonstration.

Mahto was gunned down by the Naxalites at Baghuria village on March 4.

The demonstrators shouted slogans against the district administration for ''delay'' in the probe of the sensational murder case.

A JMM delegation also met DC N M Kulkarni and submitted a memorandum addressing the President of India.

The Centre had ordered a CBI inquiry into the murder case and the ivestigating agency has been quizzing several suspects in connection with the killing.

The district police had arrested eight persons including two ultras so far.
