High expectation from Khandu

Itanagar, Apr 13 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has congratulated Dorjee Khandu on taking over the mantle of chief ministership of the state.

Pointing out that people had high hopes and expectations from him, the APCC hoped he would fulfil their long felt dreams and aspirations by implementing proper programmes and policies in all sectors to touch new heights of progress and overall development in the state, party sources said.

The APCC hoped that corruption would be checkmated to improve good and transparent governance. It laid thrust on the importance of peace, tranquility and harmony in succesfull running of the government.

The APCC also said it expects the new chief minister to work on the lines of party's election manifesto and keep the interest of the party above all besides strengthening it.

It thanked AICC President Sonia Gandhi for deputing two senior Congress leaders--Oscar Fernandes and P R Das Munshi--to resolve the long drawn political crisis in the state, sources added.
