Four killed in two road accidents

Coimbatore, Apr 13: Four persons were killed and three others injured in two separate accidents in Coimbatore district yesterday.

According to police, three persons were killed, two of them on the spot, when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Malumichapattti near here.

The deceased were identified as Dennis (40 ), a footboal coach, Mohan (40) and a car driver Biju Thomas-- all hailing from Kerala.

They were proceeding to Bangalore when the mishap occurred.

In another accident, two two-wheelers were knocked down by a lorry killing one person and injuring three others in the city.

The deceased was identified as Ravi (25). The injured were admitted to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.
