Farmer electrocuted in AP village

Chittoor, Apr 13: One farmer was electrocuted and three suffered burns, when they came into contact with a live wire at Mettur village, near here.

Police said the mishap occurred when the farmers, engaged in harvesting of tomatoes, stepped into the snapped live wire in the field. While, Venkataramana (38) died on the spot, three others, including two women suffered burns.

The body was sent to Pakala Government Hospital for post-mortem.

The injured were shifted to Kuppam Medical College, police added.
