Fake certificate making gang arrested

Vijayawada, Apr 13 (UNI) Police today arrested four persons on charges of selling fake degree certificates of Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) and residential proof certificates here.

Police said the arrested persons used to scan the original degree certificate and residential proof certificate and change the photo, name and other relevant informations of the person, before printing a fake one.

On a tip off, an office belonging to the arrested was raided and fake degree certificates, residential proof certificates, computer, scanner and printer were seized.

The arrested, R Srikanth, S Kalikepathi, M Lakshman and R Kishore, would be produced before the Court here tomorrow, police added.
