Editor of North East Herald passes away

Kohima, Apr 13 (UNI) The North East Herald editor Seaton Ruddock died at a private nursing home in Dimapur after a prolonged illness.

He was 64.

The editor, who passed away yesterday, is survived by two sons and as many daughters.

Seaton, was a teacher in St Paul's School, Zunheboto, and also taught in Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur. He was also the General Secretary of Dimapur District Congress Committee.

He started his career in journalism as the editor of Nagaland Observer in 1993 and worked there till 1998. He later became the editor of the North East Herald and served it till his death.

Meanwhile, the Dimapur Press Club, Kohima Press Club, Leader of Opposition I. Imkong and several other organisations have condoled the death of Seaton and conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family.
