EC directs authorities to seize BJP CDs

Lucknow, Apr 13(UNI) Election Commission today directed the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure blanket ban on the distribution of BJP CDs against which FIRs had been registered against party president Rajnath Singh and leader of the opposition in the assembly Lalji Tandon.

''EC has sought a status report on the distribution of BJP CDs in the districts'', state CEO Anuj Kumar Bishnoi said.

He said a directive have been sent to all districts to ensure seizure of such CDs in circulation and take action against those flouting the norms.
