DMRC to run shuttle bus service to IP Metro station

New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has plans to start a shuttle bus service from Akshardham temple to Pragati Maidan for those wanting to take the Metro train from the Indraprastha station.

The shuttle bus serice, which currently operates from Pragati Maidan, will ply from I.P. Metro station to Akshardham Mandir on Saturdays and Sundays, starting from tomorrow, a DMRC spokesperson said.

However, from Monday to Friday the shuttle service running from Pragati Maidan via I.T.O. and Delhi Secretariat will continue to operate.

Another shuttle service will operate via Pragati Maidan Metro station, Bhairon Road, Indraprastha Metro station, D.D.A and I.T.O for commuters on all the seven days in a week.

The Metro shuttle bus services to Akshardham Mandir will be available from 1000 hours to 1300 hours in the morning and 1700 hours to 2000 hours.

The frequency of this service will be of hourly and the route will be from I.P. Metro station to Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Nizamuddin Bridge, NH 24, Pushta Road, Akshardham Mandir and back via Pushta Road, I.T.O Bridge, Mahatma Gandhi Marg and I.P. Metro station.

The bus will stop for five minutes at Akshardham Mandir for deboarding and boarding of passengers.

The charges will be Rs. 2 per passenger per trip, the spokesperson said.
