Varanasi, Apr 13 (UNI) A galaxy of BJP leaders from Chhattisgarh, including Chief Minister Raman Singh and senior leader Dilip Singh Judeo, will campaign for party candidates in the naxal-infested districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Chhattisgarh BJP leaders, including Mr Judeo and tribal leaders Bali Ram Kashyap and Nand Kumar Sai -- both Lok Sabha MPs, will campaign in the naxal-infested districts of Chandaulli, Mirzapur and Sonebhadra, party national Vice-President Karuna Shukla said here today. Sonebhadra shares a border with Chhattisgarh.

''Dr Singh has already campaigned for the party in the UP and other leaders will join him soon,'' Ms Shukla, Lok Sabha MP from Janjgir (Chhattisgarh) said.

The battery of BJP leaders are expected to influence the mood of voters in favour of party candidates in the three naxal-hit districts, especially Sonebhadra, which has a substantial tribal population.

A total of 11 assembly constituencies in the three districts will go to poll on May three next. Ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) holds maximum of five seats, followed by BSP four and BJP two. By-polls to Robertsganj parliamentary seat is also slated for the same day.
