Candidates charged for sticking banners in govt buildings

Gonda, Apr 13 (UNI) A case has been registered here against those candidates for Uttar Pradesh assemblly Phase IV poll, who werecampaigning by sticking banners and posters in government buildings.

According to sources, all the banners and posters have been removed from the government buildings, telephone and electric poles.

Meanwhile, District Magistrate has asked SP candidate and former state minister Vinod Kumar Singh, BJP candidate Mahesh Narayan Tiwari and BSP candidate Mohd Jalil to reimburse the expenses incurred for removing posters.

So far, two people have been booked for violating model code of conduct in Katra assembly constituency.
