Brinda Karat demands apology from BJP in CD case
Amritsar, Apr 13 (UNI) CPM senior leader Brinda Karat today demanded a public apology from the BJP for its controversial CD that contained inflammatory propoganda against a particular community.
Talking to mediapersons here, she said though the BJP had withdrawn the CD, but it had not apologised so far. The party should tender a public apology to the country, she demanded.
Questioned about the Nandigram issue, she said the West Bengal chief minister had made it clear that no land would be acquired for setting up SEZs or industrial units without the consent of the farmers. Certain parties with vested interests were only trying to keep the Nandigram issue alive, she added.
