Body of kidnapped driver found

Itanagar, Apr 13 (UNI) The highly mutilated body of a kidnapped driver has been recovered from Holongi area, seven km from here.

Police said the taxi driver was reportedly abducted from Naharlogun, 12 km from here, on March 24.

Acting on a tip off, police recovered the body with a leather belt strapped around the neck.

The hands of the deceased were found to have been chopped off, police said.

The body was handed over to the relatives after conducting the inquest on magisterial order, police said.

Investigation is on to ascertain the cause of the death.
