Be ready to meet any eventuality, KHS to Kashmir hospitals

Srinagar, Apr 13 (UNI) The Kashmir Health Service (KHS) has asked the management of hospitals and nursing homes to remain alert to meet any eventuality arising out of non-lifting of garbage in the city.

However, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has started lifting of garbage from different parts of the city since yesterday following an agreement with the local residents of Saidpora who were not allowing dumping of garbage for the past two weeks.

The KHS in a statement here today the Medical superintendents of Hospitals and also managements of private nursing homes to ensure that they remain in a state of preparedness for meeting any eventuality arising out of non-lifting of garbage in the city.

The management of hospitals and nursing homes were directed to take immediate measures in the eventuality of any public health problems it said.
