Bhopal, Apr 13 (UNI) Newly-constituted Hindu Raksha Samiti (HRS) has called a bandh in the state capital tomorrow in the wake of a Sindhi girl eloping and getting married to a Muslim boy.

Various organisations, which had given hot statements in the past two-three days in this regard, had toned down and were issuing restricted statements.

Even the Sindhi community has accepted that it was not possible to control such matters.

Meanwhile, the HRS, which had submitted a memorandum to Governor Balram Jakhar in this regard yesterday, has called a bandh tomorrow.

HRS spokesperson B L Tiwari said the HRS was concerned over the welfare and the future of the girl. Believing that the HRS was against a particular community was just a false propaganda.

In statements issued by Muslim organisations, it has been urged to not to provide communal shade to the incidents, as it was a matter between two persons.

Madhya Pradesh's Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawrat convenor Syed Irshad Ali said chosing one's religion and life partner was a personal matter. Intervention and comments on such matters was not appropriate.

He said concerned agencies must take appropriate actions regarding law and order situation.

Mr Ali said an adult was independent to take decisions by the virtue of being a citizen of the world's largest democracy.

A Sindhi girl, Priyanka Vadhwani, eloped with Mohammed Umer and got married to him in Mumbai. Umer converted to Hinduism and changed his name to Umesh before the marriage.
