APCC pins high expectations on Khandu

Itanagar, Apr 13 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) congratulated Dorjee Khandu on taking over as the Chief Minister of the state and hoped he would implement proper programmes to touch new heights of progress and overall development in the state.

Pointing out that people had high expectations from him, the APCC hoped Khandu would fulfil their long felt dreams and aspirations, 7party sources said.

The APCC emphasised the importance of peace, tranquility and harmony in the succesful functioning of a government and expected transparent governance under Khandu's regime.

Besides, it also maintained that it is expected out of Khandu to work on the lines of party's election manifesto and keep the interest of the party above all besides strengthening it.

It further thanked AICC President Sonia Gandhi for deputing two senior Congress leaders--Oscar Fernandes and P R Das Munshi--to resolve the long drawn political crisis in the state, the sources added.
