AP CM rules out cabinet expansion

Hyderabad, Apr 13 (UNI) Pouring cold water on hopes of Congress MLAs and MLCs getting berths in the cabinet, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today ruled out any expansion in the near future.

''There is no urgency for cabinet expansion. There is still a lot of time'', Dr Reddy told newspersons at the Secretariat ahead of his two-day visit to New Delhi tonight to discuss various matters with the party high command and pending clearances for various projects with the Union Government.

First guidelines have to be discussed and decided before going for cabinet expansion, he added.

Incidentally several Congress leaders, keen to get a berth in the cabinet, were camping in New Delhi to plead their cases to the high command.
