Actor Dhulipala passes away

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 13 (UNI) Veteran Telugu Film Actor Dhulipala Sitarama Sastry died at a private nursing home here today.

He was 88. He is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.

He had acted in more than 300 films beginning with ''Bhisma'' in 1961 in which he excelled in the role of ''Duryodhana''. He had acted in several films alongside late N T Rama Rao, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He also essayed negative roles. He started his career as a clerk with an advocate.

In 1990, Dhulipala gave up acting. He built a temple of 'Hanuman', constructed at a huge cost in Guntur. The control of the temple was handed over to Kanchikamakoti Petham.
