Nagaland: 1 Kg opium seized; 2 held

Dimapur, Apr 13: The Special Operation Team (SOT) of Dimapur police here yesterday arrested two people, including a woman, on charges of possesing opium.

Official sources said acting on a tip-off, the SOT arrested the duo from a parking area when they were trying to sell one kg Opium, valued at Rs 20,000. The police seized the entire consignment.

On interrogation, they admitted that they had procured the narcotic from Mao area under Senapati district of Manipur. A case has been registered and investigation was on, sources said.
