Scholarships for ex-servicemen's children

Hyderabad, Apr 12 (UNI) Sainik Welfare Director Brig (Rtd) C S Vidyasagar today said the Centre had introduced a scholarship scheme for children of ex-servicemen (personnel below officer rank) and widows of defence personnel who died in harness.

In a statement here, he said the scholarships were at the rate of Rs 1250 per month for boys and Rs 1500 per month for un-married girls.

Applications for the scholarship were invited from the wards and widows of ex-servicemen, pursuing professional degree courses, he added.
