Ryots stage demo to press demands

Puducherry, Apr 12 (UNI) The CPI-affiliated Puducherry Agriculturists Association took out a procession and staged a demonstration here today to press their demands.

Besides, demanding free power supply to agriculturists and provision of Rs 1,500 for per tonne of sugarcane, they urged the government to spell out its stand on the Port Development project.

The procession, taken out from the old bus stand was stopped by the police on Mission street, where the agriculturists held the demonstration.
