NSCN hide-out busted

Dibrugarh, Apr 12 (UNI) Acting on a tip-off, Assam Rifles personnel today busted a hide-out of the NSCN(IM) in Arunachal Pradesh.

Official sources said around 30 NSCN militants were forcibly taking shelter at Nepalibasti near Kanubari under Lohit district where the raid was conducted this afternoon.

One SLR rifle, a mark-three rifle and 50 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the basti.

The militants, however, managed to flee before the operation.

Combing operations were on in the area.

In another incident, troops of the 19 Kumaon Regiment arrested an ULFA linkman, identified as Kan Moran, from Pengree near Digboi of Tinsukia district.

Some forged notes were seized from his possession, sources said.
