Mysore DC submits report on Anthem issue
Mysore, Apr 12 (UNI) The Deputy Commissioner of Mysore District today submitted a report on the National Antham episode which took place Infosys campus here during the visit of President Abdu Kalam on April eight.
Deputy Commissioner Praveen Sood said that the report which was sought by the government was submitted to the department of home today.
The report consisted of what had happened on that day including in the details of th press conference addressed by Infosys Chief Mentor N R Narayana Murthy. However, he refused to divulge the details saying that Home Minister M P Prakash had to announce it on the floor of the assembly.
On Sunday, Mr Murthy had reportedly stated at the press conference, after the departure of the president, that the musical version of National Anthem was played as it would have inconvenienced foreign trainees to sing it along with others.
On Cauvery agitation, he reportedly said solution was not in closing down businesses, schools and offices, but in putting up its case forcefully in new delhi and supreme court.
This had lead to an uproar in both the houses of Karnataka legislature for two days.
