MCD seals 100 units in seven zones

New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI) Continuing with its intensified drive on sealing of units, operating in violation of the 2021 Delhi Master Plan, the MCD today sealed 100 commercial units in seven zones of Delhi.

The areas where the sealing was held include Lajpat Nagar in Central zone, Jahangirpuri in Civil Lines zone, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and East of Kailash in South zone, Loni road in Shahdara (N) zone and Acharya Niketan in Shahdara (S), an MCD spokesperson said.

A maximum of 41 units were sealed in Nazafgarh zone, followed by 21 in Civil Lines zone, 19 in Shahdara (South), eight in South zone, six in Shahdara (North) and four in Rohini.

With today's sealing operation, the total number of units sealed in Delhi since the resumption of the sealing drive has reached 342.
