Mayawati alleges BJP-SP pact in CD episode
Farrukhabad, Apr 12 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati today alleged a ''secret-pact'' between BJP and the ruling SP in the CD episode.
''There is a 'secret pact' between BJP and SP and that is the reason why the UP government is silent on the CD episode,'' Ms Mayawati maintained while addressing an election gathering here.
Even Congress was lax in its comment on the issue, Ms Mayawati addded.
Inveighing Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, Ms Mayawati alleged ''since the day, he came to power, there is 'Kans raj' in UP. I hold RLD, BJP and Congress equally responsible for it.'' Criticising BJP and the Congress, she observed ''both the parties have got nothing to do with the problems of people and are only indulging in vote bank politics.'' The BSP chief reiterated she believed in equity-based society and her party does not belong to any particular caste.
''It was due to my deep belief in equity-based society, that I gave adequate representation to all the religions and communities while distributing ticket,'' she added.
