Japanese Consulate Hagiuda meets Modi

Gandhinagar, Apr 12 (UNI) Mumbai-based Consulate General of Japan Hirotsugu Hagiuda today met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed him his best wishes for the success of his delegation's proposed visit to Japan.

Mr Hagiuda congratulated Mr Modi for his government's efforts in getting investment in the state worth 146 billion US dollars through Global Investors' Summit-2007.

Mr Modi expressed his satisfaction over Gujarat securing 40 per cent corridor in the industrial freight corridor project.

In the meeting, Mr Haguiuda expressed his curiosity over architectural remains of Budhism in Gujarat.
