Jammu festival to commence tomorrow

Jammu, Apr 12 (UNI) The seventh three-day annual Jammu festival organised by Jammu and Kashmir department of tourism every year to showcase cultural and architectural heritage of the region would commence tomorrow.

Minister for Tourism and PHE Mohammad Dilawar Mir today called upon all concerned departments to work in close coordination to make the festival a remarkable and memorable event.

Mr Mir instructed the heads of departments concerned including Municipal Corporation and Public Work Department to have a round of Jammu city jointly for identifying ugly spots that need immediate cleaning and face lifting.

He urged for involving the travel trade, NGOs and other private bodies and organizations in various events and activities in the festival and to also encourage sponsorship of specific events by the corporate sector.
