India condemns terrorist attacks in Algiers

New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI) India today strongly condemned yesterday's terrorist attacks in Algiers and called upon the international community to cooperate against terrorism.

Describing terrorism as a heinous crime which could not be condoned in any form, a spokesman of the External Affairs Ministry said the international community should cooperate closely to counter terrorism everywhere with renewed resolve and total firmness.

''We strongly condemn the terrorist attacks in Algiers on Wednesday which resulted in the death of many innocent people and injured hundreds. Terrorism is a heinous crime and cannot be condoned in any form. The international community should cooperate closely to counter terrorism everywhere with renewed resolve and total firmness,'' a brief statement isued by the Ministry said.
