Lucknow, Apr 12 (UNI) Election Commission has taken serious note of the posters circulated by dreaded dacoit of Bundelkhand Dadua threatening the voters of Banda and Chitrakoot only to vote for a particular political party in the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.

State CEO Anuj Kumar Bishnoi said here today that the state DGP has been asked to investigate into the issue and report to the commission at the earliest.

''The state police head has also been asked to take appropriate step to prevent if there is a threat from the bandit to the voters,'' he said.

Earlier posters of Dadua ordering the people to vote for a particular party or they will be punished accordingly were seen in different assembly seats of Banda and Chitrakoot districts. Polling in these two districts will be held in phase VI on May 3.
