Army extends full cooperation in fake encounter killings in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 12 (UNI) Army authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have assured a full cooperation to state police investigating into the alleged fake encounter killings, a defence ministry spokesman said tonight.

He said army authorities have already initiated investigation in the alleged fake encounter in the Kashmir valley.

The investigation is still going on, he added.

He said on March 16, a three-member police team headed by a superintendent of police (SSP) of Hazratbal police station met army authorities to discuss about the case.

The spokesman said the team was assured of full cooperation by the army authorities.
