AP CM to rush to Delhi to decide on Cabinet expansion

Hyderabad, Apr 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will leave for New Delhi tomorrow to discuss various issues, including the forthcoming Cabinet expansion, with the party high command.

Following the Constitution of the Legislative Council, the Chief Minister would shortlist with the party high command the names of MLAs and MLCs for a berth in the Cabinet, official sources said.

During the two-day visit to the national capital, Dr Reddy would urge Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to immediately intervene and stop Maharashtra from going ahead with the alleged illegal construction of the Babli project across the river Godavari.

The Cabinet was likely to be expanded on April 15 or 21, the sources said, adding that the Chief Minister would be participating in the Prajapatham Programme on April 15, as he would be busy in the state capital on April 14, the Ambedkar Jayanthi day fixed for the inauguration of the programme.
