No appeasement policy in MP: Nagendra Singh
Bhopal, Apr 11 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Home Nagendra Singh today said no policies for appeasement of any section existed in the state and the law would take its own course in matters pertaining to communal disturbances.
Mr Singh told a press conference here that it was wrong to say that a problem related to law and order had arisen, as the situation was completely under control.
He said small arguments acquired communal shade but police controlled the situation in time.
Replying to a question, he said such incidents occurred in two-three districts out of 48 districts in the state.
The Minister said he wanted to make it clear that no appeasement policy existed in the state and no person or organisation was outside the ambit of law.
Mr Singh said it was wrong to say that action was not taken against certain organisations despite provocative role played by them.
''No discrimination has been made in this regard. The state government has directed to take strict action against anyone taking law and order in their hand,'' he said.
Communal disturbances recently affected Narsinghgarh and Talen townships of Rajgarh district. Earlier, curfew had to be imposed in Indore after communal tension.
