Arun's father to join forces in case against Arun-Liz
Jaipur, April 11 (UNI) The rift in the Nayar family following the much publicised marriage of Indian born businessman Arun Nayar with Hollywood star Elizabeth Hurley is going to echo in the courtrooms of Jodhpur.
Arun's father Vinod Nayar, who recently broke the news of his humiliation meted out by his daughter-in-law during her much hyped Hindu marriage ceremony held in Jodhpur's Umaid Bhavan Palace on March 9, has decided to join forces with Vishnu Khandelwal who filed a complaint in the city court against the couple for hurting the Hindu religious sentiments, claimed the counsel for the complainant Hastimal Saraswat.
Council for the petitioner Advocate H M Saraswat, told UNI: ''Arun's father Vinod, over phone from Mumbai, expressed his wish to support the case with disclosures of many things that happened there against the Hindu customs and traditions during the Indian style marriage of Arun and Liz.'' Mr Saraswat said, ''Vinod expressed his support to the case with a 'written statement' as he could not be personally present there due to physcial discomfort.'' He said the photos of the couple hugging and kissing which appreared in the the 'Hello'! magazine would also be used as proof to ''substantiate our claim''.
Meanwhile, city judicial magistrate court of Haribhallab Khatri has started recording statements of the witnesses in the case. Vishnu Khandelwal in his complaint against Liz and Arun and others under section 295-A read with 120-B of Indian Penal Code alleged that the Hindu marriage was performed with throwing to the wind the sacred Hindu customs and traditions. It said the way the marriage was performed had hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus.
