Vice-President Shekhawat wish speedy recovery to Mr Mukherjee

New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat called on External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today at the Army Hospital, where he was recuperating after being injured in a road accident in West Bengal on Saturday.

Mr Shekhawat who arrived in the capital from Varanasi this evening after a five day tour, enquired about the health and well-being of Mr Mukherjee and wished him speedy recovery.

CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat and AICC General Secretary Margaret Alva were also present there when Mr Shekhawat met Mr Mukherjee.

UNI
