Mumbai, Apr 9 (UNI) The special TADA court today reserved its order till April 16, to decide whether this court can frame charges under section 120 (b) as well as under Arms act against underworld don Abu Salem as per the extradition treaty or not.

Defence advocate Ashok Sarogi moved an application, stating that Mumbai police had violated extradiction norms and his client cannot be framed under section 120 (b) and certain arms acts.

After hearing the arguement of both the sides, Special TADA Judge P V Bavkar, presiding over builder Pradeep Jain murder case of 1995, has reserved his order till April 16.

On the last occasion, Sarogi had argued that Mumbai Police had violated agreement between the Portugal and Indian Government at the time of extradition of Abu Salem. He also informed the court that he had already filed an application in the Supreme Court in this regard, which is still pending there.

It may be recalled that two unidentified gunmen had shot builder Pradeep Jain on March 7, 1995 outside his house 'Brij Kamal' in Juhu, a western suburb of Mumbai. Salem has been charged with conspiracy under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (prevention) Act in this case.
