New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) For the third consecutive today, Cool North Westerly winds today maintained a cool air in Delhi, bringing the mercury down to 35.3 degrees Celsius.

Close on the heels of a heavy squall last night that brought the mercury in the Capital down by two to three degrees, the Northwesterlies continued to bring relief to Delhiites from the scorching Summer heat of last week.

The maximum temperature dropped from 35.6 degrees C yesterday, to 35.3 Degree C today, which was the normal temperature during this time of the year.

The cool weather in Delhi is likely to persist for another day or two with the weathermen forecasting a partly cloudy sky and a thundry development towards evening or night during the next 24 hours.

However, Delhiites could witness a return to hot conditions in the later days of the week with the weather office forecasting a gradual rise in day temperatures in the next few days due to the decrease in the intensity of the Northwesterlies.

The met office has forecast a rise in maximum temperature to 36 degrees C tomorrow.

Heavy squalls and cool Northerly winds have been mantaining a cool weather in Delhi in the last few days thus providing relief to Delhiites from hot summer conditions.
