Jilted lover burns to death three members of girl's family

Mumbai, Apr 8 (UNI) A jilted lover today burnt to death three members of a family, including the girl he loved at Pathan Chawl in Kandivili area.

Ajay Bahadur Singh burnt alive Narendra Pratap Singh, his daughter Satya Singh and son Sugam Singh by pouring petrol through the roof of the house and lighting a match at around 0130 hrs when they were fast asleep, police sources said.

The deceased's wife, Shaila Singh, who sustained severe burns has been admitted to a local hospital.

Police have arrested Ajay Pratap Singh.

During interrogation, he admitted that the deceased were living as tenants in his house when he took a shine to Satya.

After being repeatedly snubbed by the girl, he took the extreme step and torched the house killing the family members, including the girl he loved.
