Sealing and demolition drives demolished Congress in Delhi: Gehlot

Jaipur, April 7 (UNI) Former Rajasthan chief minister and AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot said the Congress reversal in the MCD elections was the direct fall-out of the sealing and demolition drives carried out under court orders.

Talking to newsmen here today the Congress leader said the people of Delhi held the Congress responsible for their troubles due to the sealing and demolition drives as the Congress party was in Power at the Centre, Delhi.

He said the Congress controlled Municipal Corporation has been instrumental in regularisation of 1,500 colonies, notification of 2,500 roads and many developmental works in the national capital.

He said inflation, power and water crisis were the other factors contributed to the defeat of the Congress in the MCD polls.
