Amte to be shifted to Mumbai for medical treatment next week

Nagpur, Apr 7 (UNI) Noted social worker and Magsaysay award winner Baba Amte will be shifted from his residence at Anandwan in Chandrapur district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra to Mumbai some time next week for prostrate treatment.

Mr Amte would be shifted to Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai since it has the equipment for treating the prostrate by laser, doctors attending on him in Anandwan said.

The doctors said that Mr Amte had been suffering from cough and cold for the past few days due to the change in weather. He had already been suffering from prostrate trouble, and the decision to shift him to Mumbai had been made before he got a bout of cough and cold, they said. Mr Amte's condition is now stable, they added.
