Pradipta K Mohapatra new Chairman of CII Southern region

Hyderabad, Apr 5 (UNI) RPG Enterprises Chennai President and CEO (Technology Businesses) Pradipta K Mohapatra has been elected as the Chairman of CII Southern region for the year 2007-08, while Infotech Enterprises Ltd Chairman and Managing Director B V R Mohan Reddy was elected Deputy Chairman.

According to a CII release, Mr Mohapatra was the Deputy Chairman of CII Southern region during 2006-07. He was also the Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu State Council during 2002-03. As the Chairman of Education Sub-Committee for three consecutive years from 2003-04 to 2005-06, Mr Mohapatra was instrumental in bringing the industry and the academia to work closely on a number of initiatives in the Southern region.

Mr Reddy was the Chairman of CII Andhra Pradesh State Council during 2002-03.

Mr Reddy had won various awards, including the outstanding achievement award from All India Manufacturers Association (AIMA) and this year he was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU).
